Dental Implants

DENTAL IMPLANTS CAN ALLEVIATE PAIN AND RESTORE CONFIDENCE

Dental implants are artificial roots (titanium) that are surgically placed into the upper or lower jawbone by a dental specialist. The teeth attached to implants are very natural looking and enhance or restore a patient’s smile.

IMPLANT SUPPORTED DENTURES

Implants provide excellent support and stability when dentures are needed. Implants can be used as an attachment for a removable denture or, even better, can be designed with a fixed (not removable) denture. Dental implants are very predictable, stable and durable and can last forever (with proper care).

SINGLE TOOTH IMPLANTS

Dental implants are a great fixed solution for replacing a single tooth or multiple teeth. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge in place. After the implant integrates (attaches) to your bone, it acts as a new "root" for the crown that will replace your missing tooth.

Reasons for dental implants:

  • Replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth
  • Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space
  • Restore a patient’s confident smile
  • Restore chewing, speech and digestion
  • Restore and enhance facial tissues
  • Support a bridge or denture, making them more secure and comfortable
  • Preserving bone in an area where teeth have been lost

DENTAL IMPLANT PROCESS

The process of getting implants requires a number of visits over several months.

X-rays and impressions (molds) are taken of the jaw and teeth to determine bone, gum tissue, and spacing available for an implant. While the area is numb, the implant will be surgically placed into the bone and allowed to heal and integrate into the bone for two to six months.

After implant integration, an impression is taken and a post is made to fit into the implant. The crowns are custom-made to fit the implant post portion. The crowns are securely attached to the implant, providing excellent stability and comfort for the patient.

You will receive care instructions when your treatment is completed. Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits will extend the life of your new implant.

"Ten years ago Dr. Froeber made a crown for an implant to replace my missing molar. From the first day the bite was natural and the tooth has worked perfectly for a decade. I couldn’t ask for more."

"Literally everyone I came in contact with was exceptional. There is still a part of me that does not believe that Froeber Dentistry is real and that I dreamt the entire experience."
